Church Hill (also known as St. John’s Historic District) is an Old and Historic district which is famously known for where Patrick Henry gave his famous speech “Give me liberty or give me death speech” in 1775 at St. John’s Episcopal Church which was built in 1741. Some attractions within the area are Chimborazo Park that has museum of old military hospital from civil war, Libby Hill Park, and Jefferson Park which all give great scenic views of the city as well as the James River to the south! Many neighborhoods like Chimborazo, Fairmount, Peter Paul, Union Hill, and Woodville. There are many different style homes like queen anne, greek revival, and federal style. Aside from great views there are many walkable boutique restaurants like Hill Café, The Roosevelt, Alamo BBQ, and Proper Pie among the many. An excellent place to live and feel right at home.
